National bestselling author Diane Vallere writes mysteries where ordinary women stumble into extraordinary situations...and murder is never far behind. From the dawn of the Space Race to contemporary settings, her character-driven novels blend strong premises with humor and heart. Her series include the Killer Fashion and Madison Night mysteries and the soon-to-launch Kick Johnson historical mystery series.
A past president of Sisters in Crime Worldwide, Diane edited the Agatha Award–winning essay collection Promophobia: Taking the Mystery out of Promoting Crime Fiction and emains an active member of the Delaware Valley chapter. She has served as co-chair of the California Crime Writers Conference and is a frequent participant in mystery conferences including Malice Domestic and Bouchercon. She attended, the Writers Police Academy and Homicide School for Writers and is a member of the Historical Novel Society, International Thriller Writers, Independent Book Publishers Association, and the Planetary Society.
Diane studied art history at the College of William and Mary and spent more than twenty years working in luxury retail before trading fashion accessories for accessories to murder. After living in Texas and California, she now resides in Pennsylvania.
